HIPAA Compliance Training for Massage School Students

As part of your professional preparation, all massage therapy students are required to complete HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) training before participating in any clinical, internship, or client-based work.

HIPAA is a federal law that protects the privacy and security of health information. As a massage therapy professional, you may have access to client health details — even basic ones — and it is your legal and ethical responsibility to handle that information appropriately.

Completing HIPAA training ensures that you:
• Understand the basics of patient privacy rights
• Know how to manage confidential health information
• Are prepared to work in clinical or healthcare-adjacent environments

You can fulfill this requirement by completing an online training course that covers HIPAA basics and provides a certificate of completion.

Here's how to get started!

• The Start Training Now button below will open a new tab and redirect you to a FREE, trusted, external site at www.hipaatraining.us where you can complete the required training course, which includes short videos and quizzes.  (Approx. 30 min to complete)
• Upon completion, you will receive a certificate.  If you are a student in the upcoming massage school cohort at The Wellness School, please forward your certificate of completion in an email to info@wellnessschool.com.
